November 3 was Habitat’s “Frame in a Day” where we hoped to frame a house in one day. We had an awesome turnout and hosted almost 50 volunteers. It was a perfect day to work and everyone worked together to accomplish what we set out to do. Sheila Waldron with Synovus Bank sponsored coffee, snacks and a fantastic lunch for everyone.
We owe a huge thanks to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church out of Duluth, GA for completing two Helping Hands repairs with locals in both Fannin and Gilmer counties. At the same time, they supported ReStore and worked the new build in McCaysville!
Sixteen volunteers worked three days–here on their third annual mission trip.
Thanks to Jim Crawford for these great pictures of us raising the wall.
We are so happy to be building again–and helping another family get into their own home!
